The diverse community at IU McKinney will enrich your law school experience and your legal career.
We're here to be an advocate for the students to create a welcoming and inclusive environment here at McKinney, not only for the students, but for anyone who's connected in broader law school community.
Here, I had an opportunity to develop myself, develop relationships, develop my career, to become a better powerful force from our community.
McKinney programs, such as creating affirmative spaces and other inclusive initiatives help provide valuable connection during law school and beyond.
The diversity at the McKinney school helps when you transition into practice, because you're just a more well-rounded person. And it just gives you a more --a bigger picture a bigger global view, it helps you think outside the box.
One of the remarkable things from the LGBT perspective is that we have a lot of strong support among our faculty in the law school administration, which I think is a credit to the school because they are strongly focused on diversity, and they want to encourage diversity among our students.
And that's huge in broadening the way that you think about, not only people, but the way that you think about the world, the way that you think about issues, the way that you think about the law.
For me, it's more about raising awareness and helping provide some opportunities for self-reflection. We call it hard work, because it starts here. It starts with us.
