What makes the IU McKinney part-time program so attractive?
Certainly flexibility is huge. I could maintain a job, I could keep on paying for my mortgage, support my family, items like that.
One thing that surprised me was just how much I enjoyed the subject matter of law school.
The great thing about IU McKinney School of Law is that professors, career counselors, everyone in this-- in this building has the same objective and not just to educate us, I sensed that the first day.
IU McKinney's four year part-time program offers evening and online class options, and a myriad of experiencial learning opportunities.
So I was fortunate to be able to get a position at a law firm right out of the gate. So I worked there full-time during the day, gain that experience, and I'll have that even before I graduate.
The part-time students, I really-- really enjoyed. The diversity of my classmates was just incredible. I had people who were teachers, retired military folks. I had people in finance, insurance industry, just sort of a real wealth of information in the class.
You get a lot of camaraderie with your fellow students. A wide range of different careers, different experiences with the law, and so I think that's a real benefit.
I'm excited to be here, and I think the part-time program has really refined me as a-- as a professional.
